Kayla Banks (professional choreographer, dancer and actress) is originally from Denver, Colorado where she received her BA in Performing Arts and Business Administration from Colorado State University. She studied the Vaganova ballet technique under the tutelage of Carol Roderick. She has danced professionally with Impact Dance Company, has performed and trained in Portland with NW Dance Project, and has recently performed in New York City at The Public Theater. She has choreographed and danced for events in Colorado, Portland Musical Theater Co., Anya Pearson, Shaking Tree Theater, and led original projects. She currently teaches dance at studios such as The Portland Ballet, Laurelhurst Dance Studio and directs her own classes. She hopes to make a lasting relationship with the students and faculty at The Portland Ballet as she continues to develop a professional career as an artist.
