Nick Le-Jurica/Director of Community Engagement

Nicholas Le-Jurica (he/him), did most of his growing up in Beaverton Oregon. Always a mover, as well as many other things, it was his love of wiggles and his mother enrolling him in a free ballroom class that led Nick to start dancing at a local dance studio. In high school, he spent nearly all of his time studying formalized dance techniques at Arts and Communications Magnet Academy (ACMA), as well as The Portland Ballet. Nick went on to study dance as a performing art at Juilliard in New York City. After four years he received his BFA as well as performed many great works of dance, both repertory and new creation. After school, Nick moved to Salt Lake City where he danced with Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company (RWDC). It was with RWDC that he received teacher certifications in dance as education as well as dance as therapy. Nick has taught in over 100 public schools, 4 universities, and many dance festivals and summer intensives. Mostly though, he’s just a lover of dance who is very excited to be working with the students of his home town. Nick also serves as TPB’s Community Engagement Director and leads the Outreach Program.
