Jeffrey Stanton

Jeffrey Stanton Is from Santa Cruz, California and trained at the San Francisco Ballet School and School of American Ballet. In addition to classical ballet, he studied tap, jazz and ballroom. Having a 23 year professional career, he joined San Francisco Ballet in 1989 before joining Pacific Northwest Ballet in 1994 where he became a soloist in 1995 and then a principal dancer in 1996. He has performed numerous lead roles by renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, William Forsyth, Paul Taylor, Twyla Tharp, Juri Kylian, Mark Morris, Christopher Wheeldon, Peter Martins, Jose Limon and Glen Tetley. Stanton has performed as a guest artist at Les Gala des Etoiles in Montreal, The Prague Gala of Stars, and the TITAS Command Performance of International Ballet in Dallas, Texas. In 1999 he was featured in the BBC filming of Pacific Northwest Ballet’s performance of George Balanchine’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Sadler Wells Theater in London. Most recently Stanton served as Rehearsal Director for Oregon Ballet Theatre from 2013 to 2023.
