Michelle Davis, a Dallas native, trained at the Dallas Ballet Academy, Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet High School, San Francisco Ballet School, and was a pre-professional dancer with the Dallas Ballet. Michelle spent a decade dancing professionally with the San Francisco Ballet and one season with the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has been on faculty at The Portland Ballet since 2008 and has taught at many other performing arts schools in the Portland area including: Arts and Communication Magnet Academy, PDX Contemporary Ballet, BodyVox, Polaris, Portland Dance Center, Stites Performing Arts Center, Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, and Ballet Repertory Theatre of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She and her husband, Jason Davis, have three children.
